In early 2020, a group of friends wanted to create a mobile business that would bring joy and create memories that would last forever. Introducing Red Engine Rides!

Our current rig is a 1970 American LaFrance fire engine that was previously in use with the Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire Department. It was retired multiple years ago and only used once or twice a year by a private owner in parades, or for his grandkid’s birthday parties. He wanted it to go to a home that would showcase its beauty, and bring smiles to as many faces as possible. That is where we came in.

We spent over a year tearing out the water pump, hose bed, and water tank and building customized seating for ten, while also upgrading all other areas of the engine. Not one inch went untouched.

We couldn’t be happier with what we have built and are excited to see those smiles on everyone’s face while cruising around the peninsula.
